It's Monday-What Are You Reading?

It's Monday, What Are you Reading is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we've been reading the previous week and what we plan to read this week.
Fall is definitely in the air up here in the Northeast and while I'm dreading the winter I'm looking forward to having more time to curl up with some coffee and a good book!

Finished Last Week:
Last week I finished and reviewed Tricia Goyer's From Dust and Ashes, Book I in her WWII Liberators series. I thought it was a powerful and moving read about people putting their lives back together after the horrors of WWII.

Should Finish This Week:
I'm hoping to finish Deanna Raybourn's Silent in the Grave this week and start one of the books I have out from the library, either The Leavenworth Case (which I keep renewing but never actually reading,) The Apothecary's Daughter by Julie Klassen or Front Page Teaser by Rosemary Herbert.

What are you reading this week?

  1. i have a few books going right now--a new bill bryson, a debut from a new author from berkley books, and 4 different novels at school. :) it's fun to balance and try to keep my head above water. enjoy the week--looks like you have some great reads!

  2. Hi,

I'm your newest follower! It looks as though we have similar taste in books. Mine is pretty eclectic, but I have "The Apothecary's Daughter" on my bookshelf and I'm trying to find time to read it.

Come visit my blog if you get the chance:

  3. Great blog! Love the book focus - and it doesn't hurt that you're a fellow displaced southerner like me:) Currently I'm reading the new Ron Chernow bio of George Washington which is amazingly riveting. Fiction-wise, I'm into Masquerade by Nancy Moser but I'm under deadline so am mostly writing. Anyway, happy reading to you!

  5. I am guilty renewing and not reading as well. I actually have a cool little notebook just to write down titles that I don't want to forget for when I have to return books without reading them first. :)

This is my first visit to your site and it looks great. I live in NJ and don't worry, winters are too bad around here. :)
